Jim Knox

James Knox, a seasoned professional with a diverse background, currently holds the position of Managing Director and Regional Telecommunications and Technology Practice Leader at Aon for the past 12 Years.

In this role, he oversees the growth and development of Aon's regional technology and digital asset industries, serving as a key advisor to many of the world's leading technology and digital asset companies. Additionally, James leads Aon's Digital Asset Team, spearheading initiatives to address the evolving needs of clients in the digital asset space.

Prior to joining Aon, James served as the CEO of Nasdaq's international insurance division, Carpenter Moore PLC, where he demonstrated strong leadership and strategic acumen. Before his tenure at Nasdaq, James gained valuable legal experience as an Assistant District Attorney in New York City, where he honed his skills in advocacy and negotiation.

With a background in law, James brings a unique perspective to his current role, having previously worked at a prominent insurance defense law firm in New York City. He has leveraged his legal expertise to assist over 100 companies with insurances for their IPOs on both US and international exchanges.

James is widely recognized as an expert in the digital asset space, frequently speaking on and moderating panels on various topics related to the industry. He has also engaged with regulators in multiple jurisdictions, including the United States, Cayman Islands, and Bermuda, to discuss emerging issues and trends within the digital asset industry, demonstrating his commitment to driving innovation and fostering regulatory dialogue.
